The Idiot Gardener

WARNING: This site contains information on gardening, brewing, curing meat,

building shit and hunting, all done in a piss-poor manner. It is not suitable for the

feeble-minded, the weak and lame, those of a nervous disposition, vegans and

vegetarians (and those other ones that only eat fish and the occasional bacon

sandwich - I think they're called 'hypocrites'), those who practice any

manner of folk singing or dancing, people named Colin or fans of Barry Gibb.

Bollocks to the EU

The EU are an ever-present thorn in the side of many, and no they’ve turned their attention to gardeners with ride-on lawnmowers, with a proposed ruling that seeks to hit hard at gardeners, hit hard at lawns, hit hard at ride-on lawnmowers, and destabilise the very core of that very English tradition, showing off about how much land you can waste by keeping it unproductive. It’s time to fight back, and fight back we will!

Whay absolute bollox! I can understand businesses needing insurance for their ride ons but average Joe Bloggs that manicures his 1 acre back yard with a ride on …….. it’s a piss take. I for one certainly will not be taking out any kind of motor insurance on my ride ons and I doubt there is a copper alive that would want to be the one to arrest or charge someone for said offence.
Having said that, I do see how I could use this to my advantage – you see I moved here to the middle of bloody nowhere with the promise from hubby that I could have a horse on our own land. Said land has now been cleared after 10 ruddy years and looks lovely and green. So lovely and green in fact that hubby bought 2 ride on mowers instead of a horse as he doesn’t want a horse ruining his field. Now,if I can convince him that a horse is going to be cheaper than motor insurance……………………see where I’m going with this! 😉
